Dragon Tale

by Guy Belleranti

I have a pet dragon

Who only breathes fire

When roasting marshmallows

On sticks made of wire.

He takes children for rides

Over roofs, above clouds.

His fun loving nature

Attracts huge happy crowds.

When fire alarms ring

He speeds off like a jet,

Rescues people and pets,

And helps hose things down wet.

Yes, my dragon is great,

But he sure shakes my floor--

He's a real sound sleeper,

And that sound is his snore!
