| Welcome to the CREATOR'S CLUB! As a Club Member, I'm happy to provide you with your own Member Page. Use the space to display your photo, bio, samples of your work, favorite sites, and places where your work has appeared. You may update or alternate the information and material on your Member Page at any time, however, please note that the site is updated quarterly - March, June, Sept, Dec. Club Members will receive a conformation e-mail and occasional reminders to submit updated material. Let visitors know who you are. Send files to Andree Gendron.
There is no waiting period for new members before they can receive a Member Page. Once you join, you can send material for your own personal page on the site. Encourage freinds, family and editors to visit. Send material to Andree Gendron. For the sake of equality of space, please follow these guidelines when constructing your Club Member Pages. Please limit the amount of poetry, fiction, and artwork you display to the amounts stated below. Also, for the sake of our younger visitors and members, try to refrain from using profanity, or depicting any images of a mature nature. Page titles must read (your member name) + Page (example: QUASAR'S PAGE) Below that you may insert up to 4 images (photos of yourself, pets, collections, or any images you wish.) However, no image can exceed 25 KB. They will be automatically displayed in a revolving photo album. Next, please include a three to four paragraph bio about yourself. Tell us where you're from, what your interests are, what type of work you do, and what your backgrounds are as artists. Then choose any five topics to add under your bio. They're great fun to think up, and say a lot about who you are! Some suggestions: your favorite things, least favorite things, ambitions, pet peeves, best moments, worst moments, your advise, mottos, regrets, or people you admire most. You can decide on other topics as well, of course, but limit them to five. Please list any places where your writing or artwork has been displayed or published. See what your Member Page could look like by viewing the ones we already have. You get to pick the background color that fits you best. How cool is that? Poetry should total roughly no more than 500 words. That could mean as few as two free form poems to as many as several dozen haiku, depending on the style of poetry you prefer to write. Fiction, essays, articles, and all other sizeable chunks of text should total roughly no more than 5000 words. That could equal one short story, or a flash fiction trio. Artwork is limited to four images at any given time. No one image can exceed 100 KB. Sizes may vary. Always get permission to post sites on your lists of favorites from their owners prior to using them. I already have my own web page. Why do I need to send you material to make another one? That is up to you. We would be happy to take the information needed to make your own Club Member Page, although the guidelines we stipulate would limit it's size and structure. If you prefer to have your Club Member's Page link go directly to the web page you already have, than you must provide a link from your web page back to the CREATOR'S CLUB. I'm not a writer, so can I show more than four samples of my artwork on my Member Page? Sure. If you prefer to turn your Member Page into an online portfolio of your artwork than I'll be happy to do that for you. Simply replace the space you could have used for text with no more than twelve images. No one image can exceed 25 KB. You will still be allowed four samples of artwork besides the twelve, making a total of sixteen images. I'm not an artist, so can I show more samples of my writing on my Member Page? Sure. Simply replace the space you could have used for artwork with no more than 5000 words of text. This amount could be spread out over various types of work (poetry, stories, essays.) |
