"In the cold, dark waters of the Myov Sea, a lone Altrasian bubblefish jerks the tendrils of its tail to create bubble nests to trap its prey. Due to a voracious appetite for eggs and the young of others, this dancer of the sea, often exceeds 20 feet in length at maturity. "Fins that form its crown secrete an inky poison to blind potential victims. "The underbelly of the Altrasian bubblefish is armoured for protection against predators and these sparkling scales are valued by the Altrasians for use in fertility ceremonies. The scales are placed in shallow sea shells and set on hot rocks in sweat lodges. The fragrance they emit, when heated, serves as an aphrodisiac, thus inspiring new life." |
